- Instructions for SHOP
-
- Your favourite Aunty and Uncle (you know...the one's with the shop!)
- have gone away for the day. They have asked you to look after the
- shop for them. They have filled the shelves and left plenty of money
- in the till. All you have to do is.....
-
- Select a level: This will limit the number of items each customer buys.
- 1 = no adding up. 2 = adding two prices. 3 = three items. 4 = headache!
- After serving ten customers you will have the chance to move up to the
- next level.
-
- Once the level is set the customers will start to flood in. They take
- whatever they want off the shelf and put it on the counter by the till.
-
- You can then prepare their receipt. Typing in the amounts and adding up
- the total. Press RETURN after each entry.
-

-
-
-
- The customer will then offer you some money. You check if it is the
- right amount. If not you will have to work out how much change to give.
- The customers will not let you get away with any mistakes. Make 10 and
- you will not be allowed to continue to run the shop.
-
- It is a very busy shop. The shelves soon start to look empty - you need
- more goodies to fill them again. Move the mouse pointer from the extreme
- left of the counter to the extreme right. Finish serving the last
- customer and you will then find your self in the office. Click on the
- order book and order some more stuff.
-
- You can only have 10 of each item and can only order an item if you have
- 5 or less of them left. The goods are charged to your Aunt's and uncle's
- account. The delivery man will come and fill your shelves.
-
- If a customer is unable to buy something because the shelf is empty you
- will not be allowed to continue to run the shop.

-
-
- Also in the office is a clock. Click on this if you have had enough and
- want to go home or if you need break.
-
- Move the mouse pointer back to the extreme left, the shop end, of the
- counter to start to serve customers again.
-
- The shop only stocks four lines. These being - Milk, Pop Pops,
- Chocolate and Juice. Pop Pops started as a breakfast cereal but are now
- biscuits/snacky type things. The prices vary each time you play.
-
- May I moan for a moment? Several programmes I have seen lately give you
- the same questions every time. Why? There is no need for it. You may
- as well buy a book of questions or, cheaper still, scribble your own on
- the back of an envelope. If you have been fobbed off with this second
- rate nonsense, especially if it was a Commercial or Licenceware disc,
- ask for your money back. And another thing......

- The Shopping List Game
-
- You may be familiar with the game where one person says "I went to the
- shop and bought...an elephant". The next person has to repeat this and
- add their own item on to the end of the list which is then repeated by
- the next person.... This goes on until someone (usually me) misses an
- item from the list.
-
- This programme will aid your 'shopping list memory development'. Simply
- watch the shopping list flash before your eyes and then click on the items
- in the right order.
-
- You can have the shopping list with or without PICTURES. Best to have
- pictures initially so you can work out what they are meant to be!
-
- I can manage three or four items. Some claim they can get up to ten!
- Some foolish types may like to try the OVER 10 option.
